May Games:
As scheduled, the games have started from today onwards at 4:00pm.
Teacher Zhao Anping declared the opening of the games
after his short speech. Then he
participated in tug of war against 2002 from the staff's side. After this event
table-tennis
(single), badminton(singles),chess, one leg race were held. It was sad to see so many
students out of
the event on the first day. But at the same time, those who took their defeat
and congratulated the winners was a
rare scene that could only encourage to play for
friendship and sportsmanship. The grade 2002 have tried their best
to make it a history
in Xi'an Jiaotong University by organizing such a wonderful events in such a wonderful way. However, it's the finish that counts not the start. Let's hope this good start will end up successfully
and form an
example to other junior grades.
The games are for the growth of the other aspects of
the students. The experience which we gain from the field
is completely different from the class. So,
if we are to experience the serenity, prosperity and the excitement
of self-discipline, what can be the
better source rather than sports??
MAY GAMES ENDS
Seven exciting days, sixteen beautiful games and 150 enthusiastic
participants have made another history inXJTU. The bonds of friendship strengthened, love of sports spread and the
hidden talents unfolded. Thanks to the organizing committee of 2002 batch. Many students from other batches also
supported the organizers which made the
job less harder. The participation of teachers added more flavour to the
event. Some students made some
delicious foods and gave opportunity to others to taste the varieties. All
in
all the event was held successfully saying, "Friendship, sportsmanship and
brotherhood have no bounds."
